James Gordon, also referred to as Jim, is a main character in Batman: Caped Crusader. He is the commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department and a secret ally of Batman.

James Gordon is an honest police commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, determined to make Gotham City a safe city from corruption and criminals his wife was killed on a mission meant for him by criminals working for crime lord Heather. James later tracked down Mrs. Lengkamp and shot her in the chest and framed her henchmen. He and his daughter Barbara Gordon kept this a secret. A year later batman came and helped defeat the criminals Mrs. Helen Brown Miss Barclay and Miss Pearson Gordon was pleased with Batmans work but new he should see him a a enemy.later the crinmal Margaret was hired to kill Batman by crime Lord Mrs. Julie Cook Margaret was stopped by Batman batman later defted criminals working for crime Lord Mrs. Debbie Webster Mrs. Webster later had memory problems witch was revealed to be early onset dementia witch she passed away from later in the series. later Lisa Swain became Killer Frost and was put in Arkham Julie was put in Arkham to she went insane and became professor Pyg she kidnapped Gordon to kill him but was attacked by Batman Julie fell off a cliff to her death.

Gordon is a well-built African-American male with grey hair and a black moustache. He wears a dark brown suit with a white shirt and black necktie, black shoes, a dark brown fedora, a tan-brown trench coat and square framed glasses.
